In debate, Cruz blasts Dewhurst over ads, ‘wishy-washy’ record

HOUSTON — GOP Senate insurgent Ted Cruz accused rival David Dewhurst on Thursday of lying in TV ads to mask a record as a “wishy-washy” Republican who cuts deals and isn’t bold enough to help solve the nation’s fiscal crisis.
