Texas House Speaker Joe Straus announced some staff changes Thursday. As expected, he elevated to chief of staff Jesse Ancira, replacing Denise Davis. Since March, Ancira has been acting chief of staff. Earlier, the former FBI agent and comptroller’s office official was Straus’ general counsel and main tax policy adviser.
