Many on religious right willing to give Mitt Romney a chance

TAMPA, Fla. — Christian conservatives aren’t looking for the perfect candidate anymore — just one who can beat President Barack Obama.

Mitt Romney wasn’t the choice of that sturdy party bloc. Its members are uneasy about his inconsistency on issues they care about, and some are troubled by his Mormon faith.
