Classes start at UT’s new $54.8 million Belo Center for New Media

AUSTIN — University of Texas communication students started fall classes Wednesday in a new academic home: The $54.8 million Belo Center for New Media.

The airy, 120,000-square-foot structure is a far cry from the outdated and largely windowless Jesse H. Jones Communication Center across the street.
