Rep. Pete Sessions to chair Rules; influential post for outgoing NRCC chairman from Dallas

WASHINGTON – Dallas Rep. Pete Sessions will chair the influential House Rules Committee when the 113th Congress convenes in January.

“Pete Sessions is a strong leader, a trusted advisor, and a personal friend,” House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said this afternoon, in a statement announcing the selection.
